Small Landlord Emergency Grant Program
Applications must be submitted between August 19th at 9:00 a.m. and August 26th at 1:00 p.m. to be considered. Grant funding will be allocated on a case by case basis, based on the number of COVID-impacted units, and the amount of missed rent. Applicants must be the Primary Property Owner of a residential rental property in New Jersey and be registered with DCA’s Bureau of Housing Inspection as of July 17, 2020. Applicants can check https://www.nj.gov/dca/divisions/codes/RIMS_online.html to see if their property is registered.

COVID-19 Emergency Rental Relief Program
The opioid epidemic remains an ongoing challenge in our State.
NJ Human Services is continuing to look to find innovative ways to save lives, connect individuals to treatment, and help individuals sustain their path to recovery.

The State of New Jersey will offer the opioid overdose reversal drug naloxone – commonly called Narcan – for free to residents at participating pharmacies throughout New Jersey from September 24th through 26th.

New Jerseyans can visit participating pharmacies and obtain naloxone for free with no name needed, no prescription and no appointment.

Free naloxone will be available at 322 pharmacies, including several locations of Acme, CVS, Rite Aid, Sav-On, ShopRite, Stop & Shop, Walgreens, Walmart, Weis Markets and independent pharmacies. For participating pharmacies, please visit nj.gov/humanservices/stopoverdoses

What is the status of the NJEDA Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program?
UPDATE 7/28/2020: Update: Governor Phil Murphy has announced that an additional $15 million in Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding has been made available to bolster the NJEDA’s Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program. The program is currently oversubscribed and not accepting applications, but the NJEDA intends to use the CARES Act funding announced today to fulfill a significant portion of the applications already in the pipeline, particularly where direct federal funding was not provided to counties. Somerset County: Clerk Opens for Scheduled In-Person Passport Applications
Somerset County residents can now apply for passports in person with an appointment at the Somerset County Clerk’s office. Due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic, only one applicant or household will be allowed in the building at a time to apply for a passport. Applicants will also be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Click the link below for the full press release.
